When TTD under the rule of Mahats, Smt. Komalamma w/o. Sri Diwan Bahadur Vijayaraghavulu Chetty from Chintadri pet, Chennai constructed one choultry in Sarojini Devi Road, Tirupathi. She served food to the walking pilgrims and offered flowers to the local temples.
On attaining oldage she handed over the choultry to TTD. Then Mahant sanctioned a charity from TTD on request of Komalamma.She asked to conduct Swamy Asthanam once in a year in her premises. Then Mahant sanctioned her wish and every year Lord Venkateswara visited her premises. TTD conducts Asthanam every year Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Chakrasnanam Day in a grand scale.
As Komalamma is Vysya Lady and rendered omen service to the Lord Venkatesweara. In memory of Komalamma Vasavi Foundation decided to conduct many acrtivities like Food Offering, Cow Seva, Donation of Temple Umbrellas and honouring of Ancestors family who serverd society.
